I found the thinking questions quite difficult because you have to think deep and answer the questions.

SC:

• Skim and scan for key information

Today I did SRA card and I was really happy with my result because I got 10/10. I did well because I finished reading the story really fast. I did well because I used skim and scan to help me read the story. It took me a while to answer all the questions but I managed to finish it and managed to get all the answers right.

Maths T4 W4

WALT work out practical problems using a rule

SC:

• Identify the term numbers
• Use the rule
• Add, subtract, multiply or divide the input number by the rule
• Write the cost

Today I did practical problems using rule and I was really happy with my result because I got 6/6. I didn't do well because I didn't understand how to do it at the start but then I understood how to do it and managed to get all the answers right. I did well on staying on task and using my time wisely. I didn't do well because I used calculator to find some of the answers. My next step is to not try to work it out without using a calculator.

Algebra

WALT understand special number sequences

SC:

• Look at each pattern
• Continue the pattern
• List the number of dots

Today I did number sequences and I was not happy with my work because I only got up to number 3. I didn't do well because I didn't understand question number 4,5 and 6. I did well on answering the 3 questions and getting them all right. My next step is to understand how to do it so next time I do a similar task like this it can be easier for me.

Today I kiwikids news and I am really happy with my work because I answered all the questions. I did well on answering the recall questions. I was struggling to find out when the event took place but after some research I managed to find out the answer. I did well on staying of task and using my time wisely.

Task 5

WALT work out word problems involving number sequence

SC:

• Read the questions
• Identify the missing numbers in the sequence
• Work out the missing number by using the sequence pattern
• Write down the missing numbers

Today I did Algebra level 4 and I was not happy with my results because I got 11/13. I did well on answering the questions but I got 2 questions wrong. I did well on staying on task and using my time wisely. I didn't do well because I was struggling at the start and didn't understand how to do the task but at the end I managed to understand and get 11/13. My next step is to get 100% on my next task.

I did well on taking my time and answering the questions. My next step is to use skim and scan so next time I read a story I can finish it quickly. I did well on staying on task and using my time wisely.
